1:00 p.m. Swinging Strings - Ensemble department faculty member g i
George Zonce presents compositions and arrangements of jazz with

strings, conducted by faculty member August Watters and performed by N
Berklee's acoustic strings ensembles.

4:00 p.m. D.D. & th B3’s — Ensemble department faculty members “y
Dennis Cecere, Dennis Montgomery, B3 organs, Bob Schlink, guitar and

Dave Weigert drums, present an afternoon of bebop compositions in a

unique setting of 2 B3's, guitar and drums. The three comping instru-

ments, each with their own charateristics, creates a wall of sound and

solid groove.

7:30 p.m. Berklee Marimba Labs - This semester’s Berklee Marimba
Concert- directed by Nancy Zeltsman - will feature performances by two
Marimba Performance Labs, the Marimba Transcriptions and Repertoire
Lab, the Marimba in Mixed Chamber Music Lab, and Berklee solo
marimbists.

April 27

4:00 p.m. — The Music of Miles Davis — Under the direction of faculty
trumpeter Ken Cervenka, this ensemble performs music of jazz icon
Miles Davis.

7:30 p.m. — Salsa Ensemble — A night of contemporary and traditional
salsa styles including the music of Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Sylvia
Rexach, Los Van Van in arrangements by faculty director Bernardo
Hernandez.

April 30-
2:00 p.m.Gospel & Rhythm & Blues Ensemble - Directed by ensemble
faculty member Dennis Montgomery Il

4:00 p.m. R & B/ Smooth Jazz Vocal Ensemble- Faculty member Walter
Beasley presents the Vocal Smooth Jazz ensemble.

7:00 p.m.— Advanced Improv Ensemble —Faculty member Ed Tomassi
presents his Small Group Improvisation student ensemble performing
post-bop contemporary original tunes by Dave Liebman, Joey Calderazzo,
Gene Perla, Dizzy Gillespie others.
