The three comping instru- ments, each with their own charateristics, creates a wall of sound and solid groove. 7:30 p.m. Berklee Marimba Labs - This semester’s Berklee Marimba Concert- directed by Nancy Zeltsman - will feature performances by two Marimba Performance Labs, the Marimba Transcriptions and Repertoire Lab, the Marimba in Mixed Chamber Music Lab, and Berklee solo marimbists. April 27 4:00 p.m. — The Music of Miles Davis — Under the direction of faculty trumpeter Ken Cervenka, this ensemble performs music of jazz icon Miles Davis. 7:30 p.m. — Salsa Ensemble — A night of contemporary and traditional salsa styles including the music of Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Sylvia Rexach, Los Van Van in arrangements by faculty director Bernardo Hernandez.
