BONZO BADBACH (class of '62) majored in Cowbell and Song Lyrics, and
was never able to complete his requirements for Listening/Analysis.
Being such an accomplished musician, he was able to find work with such
greats as Woody Ferman, Duece Cannon, Count Debasie, The Breather
Brothers, and Al Herbah & The Marijuana Brass Band (or Slim Whitman).
At the peak of his career tragedy struck when Bonzo tried to blow-dry
his hair while taking a shower. The Jazz-Rock Ensemble is deeply
touched by having known and loved this unique musician. Perhaps Howard
Cosell said it best in Bonzo's eulogy: "He was a truly fine and gifted
athelete." - ¥
