David Friend Recital Hall Concerts o

February 22 - Stambandet - The Scandinavian Vocal Ensemble -Under
the direction of faculty member Allen LeVines the 15 voice vocal en- o B
semble Stambandet performs traditional songs from Iceland, Norway and
Sweden featuring six and seven-part harmonies and including a wide
range of a cappella folk traditions. -

February 24 - Music for Piano, Four Hands - Composition department “
faculty member Marti Epstein presents music from the 18th, 19th, and
20th centuries written specifically for piano duet. Compositions by JC
Bach, Franz Schubert, Antonin Dvorak, Samuel Barber and Francis T
Poulenc will be performed by Marti Epstein and Jennifer Elowsky, Instruc-
tor, Boston College. :

February 25 - The Sal DiFusco Project - Presented by guitar department
faculty member Sal DiFusco, this concert will contain elements of jazz,
rock, funk and fusion and feature compositions by Sal DiFusco, Wayne v
Naus, Mike Stern, George Benson, Carlos Santana, and others. Featured
soloists include faculty members Wayne Naus, trumpet, Joe Galeota,
percussion as well as Bob Bowlby, saxophone, Keith Kostic, trumpet, o
Damon Carter, keyboards, Dan Foote, drums, Cecilia Colucci, Mike
Powers, vocals, Larry Jackson, bass.

March 2 - Pastel Blue - Composer, keyboardist/piani%t Sachiko K pre-

sents her original danceable fusion and latin tunes, for her sextet witha * =
faculty guest. o
March 4 - New Music at Berklee-Composition Department Faculty "

Spring Concert - Faculty composers Thomas Allen LeVines, Leroy South- <
ers, Marti Epstein, Michael Weinstein, Arthur Welwood, Armand

Qualliotine and Alexandros Kalogeras will present fascinting new works in =
a wide variety of chamber music settings ranging from solo “electric”
cello to wind octet.
