Berklee Performance Center Concerts
November 20 - The Berklee Concert Wind Ensemble - Under the direction
of Greg Fritze, the Berklee Concert Wind Ensemble will perform a concert of
contemporary compositions for winds featuring “Five songs by Robert Frost”
a composition by Berklee Faculty Composer Michael Weinstein. The
ensemble will also perform United States Premieres of two new composi-
tions by Spanish Composers - “Estigia” by Francisco Tamarit and “Tres
Dances Valencianes” by ~ Aman Blanquer. Also performed will be “Rocky
Point Holliday” by Ron Nelson, Incandation and Dance by John Barnes
Chance and Bugler’s Holiday with faculty trumpet soloists Wayne Naus, Dick
Lowell and George Zonce.
November 26 - Jazz Composition Masters Concert - This is a2 Graduate
Concert of Master's Degree Candidates in Jazz Composition featuring the
works of degree candidates Chen Chen Ho and Channing Booth performed
by small instrumental groups, three and four horn jazz, Afro-Cuban en-
semble, big band and jazz orchestra.
December 2 - Bless the Lord - Berklee’s Reverence Gospel Ensemble,
under the direction of Dennis Montgomery 111, offers an evening of contem-
porary and traditional gospel music arranged by various artists including
Fred Hammond, James Hall, Kirk Franklin, Richard Smallwood and Mont-
gomery.
December 3 - Rainbow Band
December 5 - Concert Jazz Orchestra
December 9 - Rejoice in the Lamb by Benjamin Britten - The Concert
Choir, under the direction of vocie faculty member Anne Peckham, will
perform Benjamin Britten’ s Festival Cantata “Rejoice in the Lamb.” The work
features Chad Conlan on organ and student vocal soloists Brooke Fox, Tony
Romeo, Michael Harris and Araby Harrison.
December 12 - Singers’ Showcase - Singers Showcase, under the direction
of the Yo Team, will feature student vocalists Jerome Kyles, Heather Combs,
Maria Wronski, Brian Glover, James Connor, Nichelle Jones, Ulrika Skogby,
and the debut of two new groups— The Essence, and Made in Sweden.
They will be performing student arrangements from the music of Stevie
Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Osborne, Alan Menckenen, Mariah Carey,
George Gershwin, ABBA, and the Winans.
The Performance Center at Berklee College of Music is a Ticketmaster outlet.
