October 2 - The Abigail Aronson Quartet - Performing original
compositions, a guitar-oriented jazz fusion quartet, including
Berklee faculty member Norm Zocher, bass, pianist Bevan
Manson, and Brooke Sefferman, drums, is led by faculty guitarist
Abigail Aronson.
October 3 - Gaze Upon the Moon/An Evening With T Fields -
Original Pop/Funk compositons by guiatarist/vocalist Kai Turnbull
will be performed by his quartet. In the second half, faculty mem-
ber Chris Noyes presents Transuniverse Fields performing original
instrumental and vocal rock.
October 7 - Good Time Basses - Faculty members Jim Stinnett
and Mirek Kocandrle present original contemporary jazz, pop and
rock performed by small and large ensembles and featuring faculty >
members Dave Howard, guitar, Richard Grudzinsky, keyboards,
Dennis Montgomery, keyboards and Greg Badolato, saxophones.
October 9 - Hamburg Revisited: John Lennon’s 56th! - Under
the direction of Songwriting Department faculty member, guitarist -
John Stevens, The Blue Meanies—with Corin Ashley, Rick Cohen P
and Ken Hickey—will celebrate John Lennon’s 56th birthday with
this performance of songs from all periods of the Beatles career
using the Hamburg style set-up of two guitars, bass and drums.
October 10 - Koven Smith/Points of Hue - In the second half
Mark Lopes presents contemporary jazz originals and compositions
by Dave Holland and Ornette Coleman for his quintet.
October 15 - “Us”/On the Tee - Vibraphonist/composer Oli Bott
presents his jazz-suite for big band entitled “Us”. Then pianist
Yoohchan Kwak presents jazz standards by Rodgers & Hart, Cole
Porter, Johnny Mercer and Frank Loesser for his trio.
