July 12 - Heart & Fire - 5 Week Welcome Concert - To open the Five Week
Summer Performance Program faculty trumpeter/composer Wayne Naus presents his
seven piece ensemble performing original Latin jazz.
July 13 - Heart Beat/Sean Driscoll Group - Pianist/composer Winfried Kraus
presents contemporary jazz and fusion originals performed by his quartet in “Hard
Beat.” In the second half guitarist Sean Driscoll presents original compositons in a
fusion of latin and contemporary jazz.
July 18 - Boom Shaka Laka Laka, Boom Shaka Laka Laka— Bob Pilkington
revives his long lost brass band, formally known as the Continuum Jazz Brass Band,
a nonet . They will be playing a sampling of music drawn from the wide vista of
American and World culture. Classic tunes done anew in styles ranging from Louis
Armstrong to Led Zeppelin. Continuum Brass features faculty members trombonist
pilkington from the Jazz Composition Dept. and Marshall Sealy from the Brass Dept.
The second half will feature a small jazz ensemble where Bob Pilkington teams up
with Guitar department faculty member John Thomas and others to play original
and standard tunes.

July 25 - Bobby Rogers
July 26 - Breakout - Contemporary acoustic jazz, originals and orignal arrangements
of standards by faculty pianist Laszlo Gardony will be performed by Gardony and
faculty percussionist Jamey Haddad.
July 27 - Night of the Living Shred - Faculty guitarist Joe Stump and his trio will
perform selections from his speed metal recordings Night of the Living Shred and
Guitar Dominance.
August 1 - Midsummer Heat - Mainstream jazz originals will be performed by
pianist Joe Mulholland and his sextet including faculty member Rick Considine,
drums.
August 2 - Summer Funk - Faculty guitarist Tomo Fuijita leads his quartet in a
concert of blues and funk originals and songs by Albert Collins and the Meters.
Faculty members Dave Limina, keyboards and Larry Finn, drums are joined by
Berklee alumnus Mike Rivard on bass.
