October 27 Fall Together—This annual Jazz Composition Department
concert will feature premieres of works by faculty composers Ted Pease, Ken Pullig,
Phil Wilson, Greg Hopkins, Bruce Thomas, Bob Pilkington, and Marc Rossi with
guest soloists String Department Chair Matt Glaser and the legendary Herb Pomeroy
on trumpet.

October 30 The Commodores Navy Jazz Band/The Berklee Buddy Rich
Ensemble—This concert will feature two big bands, the Navy Jazz Band, the
Commodores, and Berklee's Buddy Rich Ensemble performing classic big band
arrangements in swing, Latin, funk, and jazz styles.

October 31 Jazz Vocal Series—Voice Department faculty member Maggi
Scott presents a select group of singers to perform jazz standards accompanied by a
faculty trio.

November 3 Country Night - In its 10th year, Berklee's Country Ensemble is
pleased to present their annual Performance Center concert. The group is led by
faculty guitarist Bob Stanton, and will feature some of Berklee’s finest student
players and singers. They will be performing a wide variety of country songs from
cowboy to contemporary, including the music of Dwight Yoakam, Mary Chapin-
Carpenter, Alabama, Patsy Cline and the Sons of the Pioneers.

November 7 Berklee Woodwind Workshop - The evening concert of the
Berklee Woodwind Workshop will feature George Young and Lew Delgatto of the
“Saturday Night Live” horn section. These artists will perform new works from their
latest album on Chiaroscuro Records. They will assisted by Joe Hunt, drums and
Richard Evans, bass.

November 8 Piano Department Student Concert - Small group jazz and
classical in a variety of instrumental settings, under the direction of department Chair
Paul Schmeling, will feature some of the most talented students from the Piano
Department.

November 10 Songwriting Faculty Concert - Compositions by the faculty of
Berklee’s Songwriting Department will be performed by a band comprised of
faculty, students and alumni under the direction of Department Chair Jack Perricone.
Faculty member Bob Weingart will perform “This Bottle and Me,” a song he co-
wrote with faculty member Pat Pattison that was used in the CBS movie, Shadows of
Deisre. Berklee slumna Didi Stewart will be featrued singing Songwriting depart-
ment faculty member Barbara Jordan’s song, “In A Dream”.
