Berklee Performance Center Concerts

SUMMER 1991

July 17 DON’T LOOK SO SERIOUS—Faculty guitarist Jon Finn presents an
evening of original instrumental rock with faculty members Joe
Santerre, bass, and Alan Hall, drums.

July 30 MASS-LOVE-FIESTA II/THE BACK BAY BRASS JAZZ ORCHES-
TRA—Faculty guitarist John Dirac begins the evening with the
Celebration Big Band performing original contemporary jazz in
the style of Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and Cecil Taylor. In the
second half, the Back Bay Brass Jazz Orchestra performs big band
jazz arrangements by leaders faculty trombonist/composer/arranger
Ben Elkins.

July 31 THE BRIDGES—Faculty vocalist Jennifer Terry presents an evening of
her original compositions and inspired rock classics from Bob Dylan,
the Beatles, the Allman Brothers, Traffic, and U2. Her seven-piece
band will feature special guest faculty guitarist Bob Stanton and
vocalist Michael Terry.

August 7 FIVE-WEEK BLOW-OUT: 'M ON MY WAY HOME—Directors of the
Five-week Summer Performance Program Rob Rose, Bob Doezema,
and Dave Weigert present the best of the five-week jazz, rock, and
fusion ensembles in settings ranging from small groups with and
without vocals to a big band and the five-week choir.
