January 27 - Jude Crossen - Original acoustic pop and rock music performed by a
5 piece band with faculty members Dave Cowan, Adrianna Balic and Dave Buda
led by Voice department faculty member Jude Crossen. Also featured will be
Berklee alum singer/songwriter Michael Aaron.

February - Danlel lan Smith - Original compositions for jazz quartet led by
saxophonist Daniel lan Smith.

February 3- The Sal DiFusco Project - Presented by Guitar Department faculty
member Sal DiFusco, this concert will contain elements of jazz, rock, funk and
blues and feature compositions by Sal DiFusco, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn,
Steve Vai and others. Featured players include faculty member Paul Stiller,
keyboards, Chris Costello, bass, and Bill Good drums.

February 7 - Duo - Faculty vocalist Lisa Thorson and pianist Cho Yoon Seung will
present a concert of original and mainstream and free jazz including compositions
by Ellington, Charlie Parker, Bill Evans, Hal Crook and Egberto Gismonti.

February 9 - Kobe to Berklee Band - As part of the Black History Month Music
Celebration, the group that represented Berklee College of Music last August at
the BIN School- Koyo Conservatory of Music in Kobe, Japan performs jazz
originals and standards. Group members are Mark Kelley, bass, Kendrick Scott,
drums; Bob Reynolds, tenor sax; Chihiro Yamanaka.

February 10 - The Tony Lada Quartet - Steeped in the rich tradition of the post-
bebop style, this group blends the discipline of jazz composition with the freedom
and flexibility of improvisation. Following the musical tradition established by
Horace Silver, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, J.J. Johnson and Frank
Rossolino, the quartet offers original compositions and arrangements that
integrate blues, swing, latin, and other diverse musical elements. Led by faculty
trombonist Tony Lada, the group includes faculty members Suzanna Sifter, piano;
Bruce Gertz, bass and Dave Weigert, drums.

February 15 - A View Anew - Original and traditional music from the African-
American musical continuum presented by Berklee faculty members Ron Mahdi,
bass; Consuelo Candelaria, piano; and Woodwind Department Chair Billy Pierce,
saxophone under the direction of Percussion Department Assistant Chair,
drummer Ron Savage.

February 23 - Stambandet - The Scandinavian Vocal Ensemble -Under the
direction of faculty member Allen LeVines the 15 voice vocal ensemble
Stambandet performs traditional songs from Iceland, Norway and Sweden
featuring six and seven-part harmonies and including a wide range of a cappella
folk traditions.
