BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS
FALL 83
DESIGN - Senior pianist Niels Lan Doky will
lead an all-star faculty and student group
in a program of original and contemporary
latin and jazz compositions.
PAINTED BIRDS - An exciting concert of
original funk and fusion by the group
"Painted Birds" will be led by sendor
guitarist Alex Merck.
NEW MUSIC SERIES, FALL CONCERT - A concert of
new chamber music written by members ek the
composition department faculty is directed by
George Cordeiro.
MORDY FERBER - This concert will showcase
the talents of student guitarist Mordy
Ferber who will lead his group through an
evening of original jazz/fusion compositions
and arrangements.

Double Concert: NORMAL MUSIC?/WHATEVER IT
TAKES - The first half of the concert will
feature Steve Weisberg and his group per-
forming original jazz, punk and funk music.
Original jazz/funk composed and arranged by
leader Erik Trent Andrews will be performed
during the second half of the show. Some of
Berklee's most talented students will be
featured including saxophonist Walter Beasley
and guitarist Freddie Fox.
B.T. ON HOLD - Faculty composer/pianist Bruce
Thomas returns to the Berklee Performance
Center stage with saxophonist Billy Drewes,
bassist Scott Lee, and drummer John Riley.
