Berklee Performance Center Concerts
September 22
1222 Rock Fusion / Ayn nserto Jazz Orchestra
The ABCs of Jazz Orchestra, directed by Berklee profes-
sorftrumpeter Brian Lews, will present the Jazz-Rock
Fusion Era. The second half of the show will feature
the Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra’s What's Yours Is Mine,
featuring a new aspect of the group: arrangements by
1n5e10 of the band members' orginal compositons

Norm Zocher Group
The Norm Zocher Group willfeature original high-
energy, quitar-oriented jazz and fusion in celebration
of the band’s 20th year of performances at Berklee.
Heralded as "3 guitar legend in the making” and one of
“Boston's finest jazz composers,” the critcally acclaimed
leader's al-Berklee band will feature two outstanding
graduates: Grammy-nominated drummer Pablo Bencid
and bass phenomenon Alex Smith.

Larry Watson: Singing the Mission Statement
Professor Larry Watson wil present a musical evening
of edutainment, performing original compositions and
souful African American classical music. He wil be
joined by a full orchestra and choir composed of Berklee
alum, faculty, students, and members of the Boston
community

Zidjan Artist-in-Residence Final Concert
The culmination of the annual Armand Zidjian Artist-in-
Residence program. Details for this concert will not be.

Business of Hip-Hop Symposium
An in-depth panel discussion with top-level industry
‘executives, with a Q&A period. The Hip-Hop or J Dila
Ensemble opens.

Bhrigu Sahni / Sihina Moreno
Bhrigu Sahni nvites everyone to the Bhrieeegoooo
Show, a fun-flled concert ull of surprises. Drawing from
heavy groove-based music and happy reggae vibes,
guitarisvcomposer Sahni promises that you'll leave the
‘concert hall smiling. The second half of the show is the
sixth recita by Sivina Moreno, a singer/songwritr from
Buenos Aires, Argentina and senior songwriting and
business student at Berklee. She wil perform most of
her originals and some of her favorite covers with an
amazing selection of musicians. Styles include porock,
funk, and Latin American music including tango.

Shin likura / Serghio Jansen
8415 - Shin likura, winner of the Jazz Performance
Award in spring 2009 and the Herb Pomeroy Award in
spring 2010, wil present his compositions and arrange-
ments in a big band format. This concert will be his jazz
‘composition portfolio recital.
9:15 - Serghio Jansen's Senior Recital. Serghio Jansen
presents jazz fusion with Caribbean flavors.

Korean Thin Guy: Sang Hyun Park / Alan Benzie Trio
Contemporary jazz and fusion pianist Sang Hyun Park
presents original compositions and arrangements with
his great band and Berklee facutty. In the second half of
the show, pianist/composer Alan Benzie, winner of the
Scottish Young Jazz Musician 2007 Award, presents a
set of his originals with some of Berklee’s top players
With strong influences in both the European and the
American scene, expect a mix of relaxed grooves and
high-energy, hard-swinging jazz with a contemporary
touch.
