BIOGRAPHIES

Ned J. Rosenblatt currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Voice Department at
the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Rosenblatt holds a Bachelor's degree
in Music Education from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and a Master’s Degree in Jazz
Pedagogy from the Berklee College of Music and The Boston Conservatory.

Mr. Rosenblatt has taught Chorus, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Improvisation, Music
Theory, String Ensemble, Orchestra, Show Choir, Composition, Arranging, and Music Technology.
Mr. Rosenblatt has served as Director, Music Director, Vocal Coach, and Accompanist on numerous
musicals. Mr. Rosenblatt founded and served as Director of All-Cape Theatrical Productions on
Cape Cod (Massachusetts) which produced its final performance in July, 2004 with Mr. Rosenblatt's
relocation to Sarasota, Florida, where he accepted the position of Music Department Chair at the
Booker High School Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Notable Musical Theater productions include Les Misérables, Chicago, Jekyll and Hyde, A Chorus
Line, and 42nd Street. Notable Classical conducting credits include Schubert’'s Masses in G major
and Eb, Beethoven'’s Mass in C, Haydn's Heiligmesse, Maria Theresa Mass and Lord Nelson Mass,
Rutter’s Gloria, Requiem and Te Deum, Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass, J. S. Bach’s
Cantata No. 131, Howells Sir Patrick Spens and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem.

As a freelance musician and director, Mr. Rosenblatt has accompanied and arranged for the
Connecticut Music Educator’s Association Middle School Chorus, managed and accompanied

the Massachusetts All-Cape and Islands Festival Chorus, founded and served as manager of the
Massachusetts All-Cape and Islands Jazz Festival from 1999-2003, has served as a vocal coach, and
has arranged for both instrumental and vocal ensembles in the Jazz, Classical, Pop, Contemporary,
and Broadway Show idioms. Mr. Rosenblatt has served as Director of the Vermont Music Educator
Association District VI Festival Jazz Choir, All-Cape and Islands Jazz Festival Vocal Jazz Ensemble
and Festival Chorus, and the Maine All-State Vocal Jazz Choir. Mr. Rosenblatt frequently serves as
an adjudicator for Classical, Jazz and Show Choir festivals.

Mr. Rosenblatt's high school Vocal Jazz Ensembles and Jazz Ensembles have won numerous
awards including thirteen wins at the highly acclaimed Berklee Jazz Festival (Boston, MA),

have been featured on television, have performed at the Massachusetts and Florida All-State
Conferences, and the Arts Schools Network Conference. Mr. Rosenblatt’s Berklee Advanced Vocal
Jazz Ensemble has earned an Outstanding Performance Award from DOWNBEAT Magazine and
has performed at the 2014 Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference and the 2016 American
Choral Directors Conference (ACDA).
