January 26 The Kris Adams Quintet—Faculty vocalist Kris Adams performs with
her quintet—faculty members Greg Badolato, saxophone; Tony Germain, piano;
Paul Del Nero, bass; and Joe Hunt, drums—in an evening of acoustic jazz, Brazilian
music by A.C. Jobim, and jazz originals with compositions by Chick Corea, Lennie
Tristano, Cole Porter, Bevan Manson, Tony Germain, and Kris Adams.

January 31 Jack Pezanelli & Friends/Jazz & Blues Bargains—Jazz compositions
by Tadd Dameron, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, and James Williams will be
performed by faculty guitarist Jack Pezanelli and his ensemble, including faculty
members Fred Lipsius, saxophone, Dave Clark, bass, and John Arcaro, piano. Then,
Guitar Department faculty member Mike Williams presents a program of blues and
jazz originals as well as compositions by T-Bone Walker and Nat Adderly performed
by his quintet, including Berklee faculty members Danny Morris, bass, and Casey
Scheurell, drums.

February 1 Katch This-Soul-Jazz/Ken Cervenka-Eddie Tomassi Quintet—Guitar
Department Faculty member Ken Taft offers a program of blues and jazz performed
by a quintet. In the second half, faculty trumpeter Ken Cervenka and faculty
saxophonist Eddie Tomassi lead their quintet through a program of hard bop and
contemporary jazz originals and tunes by Lee Morgan and Dave Liebman.

February 5 Gospel Jubilee—A Gospel Jubilee of contemporary and traditional
music will feature five groups. Overjoyed, a small group of gospel singers made up
of members from the Reverence Gospel Ensemble in the style of Richard
Smallwood; Berklee's Reverence Gospel Ensemble;

The eight-voice choir, Family, together for 15 years, under the direction of Frieda
Battle; Urban Harvest , a gospel Ministry from Hampton, Virginia under the
direction fo Rev. Gerard Ruff and Rev. Micael Patterson; and the Morning Star
Mass Choir.

Tickets for this event are $7.00 for the general public. Berklee students, faculty, and
staff with valid 1.D. are limited to one free ticket until the day of the show; $1.00 on
the day of the show as available.

February 6 Flutes from Around the World—This concert is jointly sponsored by
the Woodwind Department and the Greater Boston Flute Association. The program
will feature flute playing from Brazil, Japan, Ireland, a Klezmer Ensemble, and a jazz
flute ensemble with an all-star rhythm section. The featured flutists are: Fernando
Brandao, Jerry Cecco, Skip Hadley, Hiro Honshuku, Matt Marvuglio, Mia Olson,
Abbie Rabinovitz, Wendy Rolfe, Ami Takahashi, and Jim Wallace.
