Berklee Performance Center Concerts

September 28- The Tony Lada Quartet With Guest Vocalist
Maggie Scott- Faculty trombonist Tony Lada presents a blend of
post-bebop and vocal standards with faculty vocalist Maggie Scott.

October 3- With a Quinto, a Clave and a Bongo/Calle Rumba: La
Timba de la Tumba - Faculty percussionist Ernesto Diaz presents
five different styles of music from Cuba for his seven piece en-
semble. Then faculty percussionist Mikael Ringq uist offers
various Latin styles for his quintet.

October 5- Adriana Balic & Jude Crossen: 2 Shows, One Night -
Faculty vocalist/keyboardist Adriana Balic presents Pop/Rock
originals with her four piece band of Berklee students, faculty and
alumni. Then faculty vocalist Jude Crossen leads his six piece
band in a program of pop/rock originals.

October 10- John Lennon’s 60th - Songwriting Faculty member
John Stevens will present an all-John Lennon Showcase. This
concert will be a tribute to Lennon’s work with the Beatles as well
as his “solo” period. Playing in the show will be Stevens’ four-piece
all-Beatle band called “The Blue Meanies” as well as some special
guests which include: Ralph Rosen, harmonica; Jon Alrich, guitar/
vocals; and Dennis Cecere on piano. The 25-song show will prima-
rily feature songs from Lennon’s period with the Beatles, but 7 of
the songs will be drawn from his solo period after the Beatles’
break-up.

October 18- Heavy Rotation Release-Record release concert for
Heavy Rotation Records sponsored by the Music Business/Man-
agement department.
