Berklee Per formance Center Concerts

FALL 1991

BASS DEPARTMENT FACULTY CONCERT—Bass Department Chair
Rich Appleman presents a diverse program featuring five department
faculty: Whit Browne, Bruce Gertz, John Repucci, Joe Santerre, and
himself in a variety of settings from traditional acoustic jazz to con-
temporary original jazz and electric fusion.

FALL TOGETHER—]Jazz Composition Department Chair Ken Pullig
presents his annual department concert featuring original composi-
tions and arrangements by faculty associated with the department in
settings from small group to large ensemble.

BOSTON SAXOPHONE WORKSHOP CONCERT—The woodwind
Department and the Saxophone Journal host the second Boston
Saxophone Workshop Concert featuring a program of contemporary
music and jazz for the saxophone. Joseph Lulloff, a superb concert
artist sponsored by the Selmer Company and professor of saxophone
at Michigan State University, will feature selections for saxophone and
piano from the traditional and modern repertories. Faculty saxophon-
ist Bill Pierce will then present contemporary jazz for his quartet.

WILLIAM LEAVITT MEMORIAL CONCERT

COUNTRY NIGHT—The Berklee Country ensemble presents their
annual hoedown directed by Performance Studies faculty members
Jennifer E. Terry and Bob Stanton in conjunction with Yo Team
Productions. The concert will feature the nest country singers and
instrumentalists performing traditional and contemporary country
music by such artists as Carlene Carter, Marc O’Connor, K. T. Oslin
and Clint Black.

JAZZ VOCAL SERIES—Voice Department faculty member Maggi
Scott presents student vocalists singing jazz standards with a faculty
rhythm section of Dave Clark, bass, Bob Stoloff, drums, and Maggi
Scott, piano.
