Ensemble - Faculty member Winston
Maccow presents his student ensemble

: performing reggae and dub music by Bob

Marley, Bushman, Gentleman, Rood Boy,

Steel Pulse and others.

April 25 — [2:30pm] — Brazilian Jazz

— Faculty member Fernando Brandao leads
this student ensemble performing jazz from
Brazil including compositions by Hermeto
Pascoal, Djavan, Joa Donato and others.

April 25 - [4:00 pm] - Mostly Mahavishnu
- Mostly Mahavishnu focuses on the early
70s with modern groove updates.

April 25 - [7:30pm] - Turn It Up! The
Berklee Country Music Ensemble - The
Berklee Country Music Ensemble under
the direction of faculty guitarist Mike
Ihde, performs top country hits as well as
instrumentals in classic country, western
swing, and rockabilly styles. An exciting
and entertaining evening of Hot Country
and Blazing Instrumentals performed by
Berklee's best Pickers and Singers with 2
fiddles, lap steel, dobro, three guitars, bass,
drums and seven vocalists.

Molinari presents Berklee’s Dave Holland
ensemble performing music from the bass-
ists recordings.

ensemble performs straight ahead jazz
compositions by Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie
Hubbard, Horace Silver and Woody Shaw
under the direction of faculty member
Herman Hampton.

April 26 - [7:30 pm] Songwriter’s Circle
2006 - The Songwriting Department
proudly presents another in the annual
Songwriter's Circle Series featuring four
outstanding singer-songwriters performing
solo and duo versions of their songs. This
is an acoustic writers showcase which fea-
tures ‘the song’ rather than ‘the arrange-
ment.” This year’s showcase will feature
Megan Burtt, Lucas Carpenter, James Farrell
and Gabrielle Sadler performing three
songs each in an acoustic setting featuring
voices and guitar or piano.

Crusaders - Faculty saxophonist Dan
Moretti leads this student ensemble
through the best of the soul/funk jazz
pioneers, The Crusaders with compositions
and arrangements by Joe Sample, Wayne
Henderson, and Stix Hooper.
