Performance Anxiety
136 Massachusetts Avenue, Room B16
This session will present techniques to alleviate the symptoms
of performance anxiety while taking advantage of it as an
energy source. We will explore tools that you can use in the
maelstrom of anxiousness as well as tools of preparation. The
presenter will use somatic insight to model the process of
performance anxiety. Participants are encouraged to bring
their instruments.

College and Conservatory Listening Session
142 Massachusetts Avenue, William Davis Room
Join senior leaders from the college and the Conservatory for
an open discussion about the possibilities and complexities
of our newly merged institution. Ask questions, share ideas,
and hear what others have to say. This is a great opportunity
to speak directly with senior leaders about issues that are
important to you. In order to foster dialogue and discussion,
attendance at this session will be capped.
—Presented by: Joe Bennett, Jeanine Cowen, Melissa
Howe, Jay Kennedy, and Richard Ortner
—Hosted by: Becky Prior
Sound Design with Modular Synthesizers
150 Massachusetts Avenue, Room B51
While software synthesizers play a central role in all genres
of electronic music, modular synthesizers have increasingly
become part of the savvy artist/producer’s arsenal. In the
past few years, a legion of boutique manufacturers have
embraced the Eurorack modular synthesizer format, offering
an amazing variety of bold new designs that bridge the gap
between analog voltage control and digital synthesizers.
