BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS

Dave Kikoski And Friends — Berklee graduate Dave Kikoski will lead
his trio through a program that features a variety of styles including
Jjazz standards by Coltrane and Parker.
The Bruce Torff Quintet — This concert will showcase new composi-
tion by leader Bruce Torff and feature special guest Mike Scott on tenor
sax and flute.
Multiple Instruments — Multi-instrumentalist Scott Robinson will
perform on ten different wind instruments, from piccolo to tuba, using
adifferent instrument for each piece. One of the area’s most innovative
musicians, Scott will be joined by some of the hottest players with
special guest Makoto Ozone.
The Winds Of Sound/Friends — The first half of the concert will
feature vocalist Randy Crenshaw leading some of Berklee’s top vocal-
ists through a program of a cappella singing as well as tunes with a
rhythm section. For the second half of this program, a presentation in
the style of Hubbard and Shorter that features a tribute to John
Coltrane is presented by Michael Hamilton and “Friends.”
The V-Note — Berklee faculty member Allan Chase leads his jazz
quartet through an evening of original compositions and arrange-
ments. The second half of this concert will feature the popular local
group Your Neighborhood Saxophone Quartet.
The Mike Scott Concert — A presentation that features original
music in a variety of styles is offered by faculty member Mike Scott and
his group.
Sound/Image/Events — Sound/Image/Events will feature trombonist
Tom Plsek and special guests Stephany Plsek and Malcolm Goldstein in
a concert of electro acoustic new music.
Design — A dynamic program of contemporary latin/jazz that features
original compositions by leader Niels Lan Doky and student composer
Kiminori Atsuta as well as compositions by Lenny White, Chick Corea,
Miles Davis and others is presented by this newly formed group
“Design”.
B. T. Phone Home — An evening of aural alchemy as faculty
composer/pianist Bruce Thomas offers everyone a lift home.
