The Making of 160 Massachusetts Avenue:
A 3D Adventure
160 Massachusetts Avenue, Room B242 (The Dub Stage)
From the demolition of McDonald’s in the fall of 2011 to the
installation of the custom Neve recording consoles in the
summer of 2014, Rob Jaczko, chair of Music Production and
Engineering, documented every step of the construction
of the 160 Massachusetts Avenue building and recording
studios in stereoscopic 3D stills and video. Join us for a
special screening and discussion of this 25-minute movie (in
3D and Blu-ray), selecting the very best of the imagery, set to
music. The presenter will share insights into his process and
the technology that made it possible. Come see a unique
perspective on one of our most significant building projects.
—Presented by: Rob Jaczko
—Hosted by: Hey Rim Jeon
Tai Chi Chuan: Stop the World, Relax,
and Expand
1108 Boylston Street, Room 202 (Movement Room)
Root in the ground, swim in the air, and stretch out with
your chi (feelings) in the now. Make friends with gravity and
atmospheric pressure. This interactive session will focus on
methods for connecting to two of the fundamental awareness
energies in Tai Chi movement—Sung (relaxing) and Kai
(expanding)—using postures from the traditional Yang Style
form of Grandmaster William C.C. Chen. Come for a quick
recharge, and learn a useful tool for enhancing the teaching
and performing experience.
