- Monday, March 27 Percussion Unlimited/Gary Burton - The Berklee College
Percussion Ensemble under the direction of department chair Dean Anderson, will :
- perform works by Christopher Rouse, John Cage, Serge de Gastyne, and Michael Udow.

~ In the second half Berklee's Dean of Curriculum, vibraphonist Gary Burton, will be
joined by students Steve Harmlton piano, Fabian Bausch, bass and Antonio Sanchez,
drums performing compositions by Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Astor Piazzolla and
Makoto Ozone in special arrangements by faculty member Tommy Kamp.

Tuesday, March 28 Caribbean Heat II - Percussion Department faculty member
vibraphonist Victor Mendoza presents and evening of Latin music with special guests
Marc Quinones, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Berklee faculty member Jim Odgren
and pmmst Alain Mallet.

Wednesday, March 29 Sonor Jazz Night - Berklee faculty member Ian Froman will be
joined by faculty guitarist Rick Peckham and bassist Dan Greenspan performing jazz
compositions by Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman and Rick Peckham. In the second
~ half, Visiting Artist ‘drummer Adam Nussbaum will be joined by faculty bassist Bruce
Gertz, guitarist Mick Goodrick and saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi performmg original }azz
by Gertz and Bergonz1

Thursday, March 30 World Percussion Night - Three diverse percussionists will
perform ethnic influenced musics in solo and duet settings. Berklee faculty member
Jarixey Haddad and guest artists Glen Velez and Terry Bozzio will use frame drums,

Fnday, March 31 Six Drumsets Contemporary drum and percussion music under the
direction of Berklee faculty drummer Steve Wilkes will feature six drummers at six
drumkits performmg Wilkes' Drums Symphony #1 and other new composxtlons

Szturday, April 1 Pwrl/llldjian Night-Celebrate the Drum - ‘Under the dzrecuon of
‘Percussion department faculty member Casey Scheuerell, a variety of ensembles from
small band to big band to percussion ensemble will perform drumset and percussion
~ music with special guests Marvin ‘Smitty’ Smith, J.R. Robinson, the U. Mass Drumline

~ with Thom Hannum, the Berklee World Percussion Ensemble and the Berklee \Woody
: Herman ensemble directed by faculty member Greg Hopkms

\%unddy, April 2, Yamaha/lfld;ian Night-Berklee Rainbow Band Guest artists Alex
Acuna, Steve Hougton, Tony Verderossa as well as faculty member Giovanni Hidalgo
will perform with the Berklee Rainbow Band under the direction of famlty tromhomst/
