Berklee Performance Center Concerts

March 2- Piano Department Faculty Concert - Featuring Laszlo Gardony
performing small group jazz with faculty guitarist Mick Goodrick, bassist
Rick McLaughlin, bass and Satoshi Takeshi, percussion.

March 3 - Mulgrew Miller - Visiting artist Mulgrew Miller pérforms with
Berklee faculty Bill Pierce, tenor, John Lockwood, bass and Ron Savage,
drums as part of Piano Week activities. ;

March 4- Plano Department Student Concert - As part of Piano week the
Piano department features student performers in a variety of instrumen-
tal settings and styles.

March 8 - Post/The Klaresque Ensemble - Tolga Yayalar presents original
avant-garde music for his ensemble. In the second half, composer
Ernesto Klar presents contemporary music by the Klaresque Ensemble-
seven winds, double bass and drums-performing original compositions.

March 10- Music of Contemporary Writing and Production Majors - The
Contemporary Writing and Production Department presents the fifth
annual concert featuring the writing of Majors in Contemporary Writing
and Production. A variety of pop/rock, fusion, and Latin compositions
and arrangements written and conducted by CWP Majors will be per-
formed by many of Berklee’s talented student instrumentalists and
vocalists. : :

- March 11 - Speak Out/Coast to Coast - Pianist Chihiro Yamanaka
‘presents a trio with Bob Moses, drums and faculty bassist Bruno Raberg,
performing original jazz with guest vocalist and horns. Then bassist Saul
Sierra-Alonso presents his sextet performing a variety of styles including
Samba, Afro-Cuban, Swing and Mambo with special guests faculty
members Wayne Naus, trumpet and Bernardo Hernandez, guitar.
