Concurrent Session V
Using Ableton Live across Genres
22 Fenway, Room 112
Since it was first released in 2001, Ableton Live quickly
became the standard performance software for electronic
dance music, but its capabilities go far beyond a four-on-the-
floor dance beat. In this session, using prerecorded videos,
live performances, and discussion, presenters will explore
how Ableton Live and closely related hardware and software
is being used by talented musicians to expand and reinvent
musical performing, recording, and composing in classical,
jazz, world, and experimental music settings.
