Berklee Performance Center Concerts
March 29- Singer’s Night - Outstanding stu-
dent vocalists representing all semester levels
will perform in a variety of styles including
jazz, rock, R&B, country and Latin under the
direction of faculty member Jeff Ramsey and
the Singers Night Team. Featured singers
include Kevin Choi, Laura Brunner, Chris
Higgins, Michal reshef, Andrew Delong,
Sarah Brown, Janet Onyenucheya, Aya
Awoskia, Lelah Cyr, Candace Coles, Meagan
O'Brien, and Georgel Arevalo.
March 30 - Kim Plainfield/Dave Dicenso Trio
— Faculty drummer Dave DiCenso presents
compositions for Organ Trio by Larry
Goldings, Peter Bernstein, John Scofield and
B3 player Nate Wilson with faculty guitarist
David Newsam.
March 31 - Tony Smith — Faculty percussion-
ist Tony Smith performs as part of Percussion
week.
April 1 — West African Drum & Dance
Ensembles - Africa is struggling to rediscover
herself as modern technology forcefully
advances around the world. Berklee's West
African Drum and Dance Ensemble under the
direction of Joe Galeota will present
“Rebirth" a concert of traditional and popu-
lar African music.
April 2 - Tribute to Elvin Jones- A tribute to
the late jazz icon Elvin Jones with John
Ramsay, Kenwood Dennard, and Billy Hart.
April 4- Songwriter’s Night- The Songwriting
Department presents its annual "Songwriters'
Night" showcase featuring the best student
songwriters and performers that Berklee has
to offer.

Yellowjackets Songbook -
Russell Ferrante and Marcus Baylor of the
Yellowjackets will lead a group of students in
performance of the Yellowjackets vocal song-
book.
April 10 - The Great American Songbook: ¢
The Music of Cole Porter - The songs of Cole
Porter are performed by Berklee faculty in ¢
the lush, swinging style of pop's golden age.
Featured vocalists will be faculty members =
Donna McElroy and Maggie Scott, and stu-
dent Jeremy Ragsdale. Arrangements by fac-
ulty members Richard Evans, Ken Zambello,
Joe Smith, Jay Kennedy, and Jeff Friedman. &
