Berklee Performance Center Concerts

March 11 - Speak Out/Coast to Coast - Pianist Chihiro Yamanaka
presents a trio with Bob Moses, drums and faculty bassist Bruno Raberg,
performing original jazz with guest vocalist and horns. Then bassist Saul
Sierra-Alonso presents his sextet performing a variety of styles including
Samba, Afro-Cuban, Swing and Mambo with special guests faculty
members Wayne Naus, trumpet and Bernardo Hernandez, guitar.

March 23- Zsolt Bende/Into the Void - Guitarist Zsolt Bende presents
acousxtic jazz standards for his trio. Then saxophonist Mattias Murhagen
presents original modern and traditional jazz for his sextet including
faculty members Marcello Pellitteri, drums and Bruno Raberg, bass.

March 24- Rock Arranging Live - The 12th annual Rock Arranging Live
concert highlights the best music written by some of the most talented
student songwriters and arrangers. Under the direction of faculty mem-
bers Mirek Kocandrle -and Richard Grudzinski, this concert will present a
variety of original compositions as well as new arrangements of standard
rock/pop repertoire featuring some of the college’s finest vocalists and
instrumentalists with special guest guitar faculty member Lauren
Passarelli.

March 25 - Ear Training Department Presents ....Mitch Seidman and
Mark Shilansky - Ear Training department faculty guitarist Mitch Seidman
performs originals and jazz standards with his trio featuring Charlie
Kohlhase on alto and baritone saxophone, and faculty member Jeff
Galindo on trombone. Then faculty pianist, vocalist and composer Mark
Shilansky performs original jazz-pop influenced compositions supported
by a standard rhythm section and background vocalists.

March 29- The Berklee Concert Jazz Orchestra - Under the direction of
faculty composer/arranger/trumpter Greg Hopkins, the Concert Jazz
Orchestra features the finest instrumentalsts in the college playing
original music written expressly for the group by talented student and
faculty writers.
