eclectic blend of contemporary classical and modern fusion material as part of Guitar Week
activities.

April 15 - Richie Hart (7:00 p.m.) - Faculty artist Richie Hart presents a jazz recital as part
of Guitar Week activities.

April 16 - Mark White's Eclectic Electric Group (1:00p.m.) - Berklee student group under -
the direction of faculty guitarist Mark White.

April 16 - Peter Bernstein (4:00 p.m.) - Visiting artist Peter Bernstein performs contempo-
rary jazz as part of Guitar Week activities.

April 16 - Mashi Hasu (7:00 p.m.) - Faculty artist Mashi Hasu presents a rock recital as part
of Guitar Week activities.

April 17- Guitar Night Student Showcase - Top guitar students Gil Campos, Lionel Loueke,

Lage Lund, Peter Rom and Henrik Sundman will perform in the Guitar Department's biggest

annual event, directed by Jim Kelly and Mike Williams. <

April 20- Steel Drum and Caribbean ensemble - Led by faculty member Ron Reid

April 21 - (2:00p.m.) The Music of Ornette Coleman- Ensemble recital led by faculty *
member Jeff Galindo.

April 21 - Brass Ensemble - Student Brass groups led by faculty member Charles Lewis.
April 22- Country Music Ensemble - (4:00p.m.) directed by faculty member Mike Ihde.
April 22 - Latin Ensembles - Led by faclty member Oscar Stagnaro.

April 23 - Jazz Ensemble - (2:00p.m.) Recital led by faculty member John Marasco.

April 26 - (4:00 p.m.) - Piano Recital - Students of Neil Olmstead will perform solo classical

and jazz piano featuring the music of Brahms, Franck, Mingus, Strayhorn and Kenny

Wheeler.

April 26 - Berklee John Scofield Ensemble - Student ensemble plays the music of John
Scofield under the direction of faculty member Rick Peckham.
