Jennifer Beauregard has been chosen as the grand marshal of the procession at Berklee's 2019
commencement ceremony.

Beauregard, a professor in the Liberal Arts Department, teaches courses in environmental
science, oceanography, and natural disasters. She is the recipient of the Professional Education
Division Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence (2015), Distinguished Faculty Award (2017), and
Dean’s Award for Innovation and Service (2017). Beauregard has presented at numerous
international conferences for Earth and ocean sciences, focusing on innovative ways to teach
Earth sciences to non-science majors and the general public. She has also organized Berklee
student performances for Earth Day and the Surfrider Foundation, highlighting student
compositions as a way to bring public awareness to environmental issues.

Beauregard received her Bachelor of Science in geology and her Ph.D. in geological
oceanography from the University of Rhode Island. She has taught at the University of Rhode
Island, Connecticut College, the University of Victoria, and Tallahassee Community College.
