April 22 - 1:00 pm — ECM Ensemble -
Faculty member Bruno Raberg presents
Berklee's ECM ensemble performing compo-
sitions by Kenny Wheeler, Dave Holland and
Kenny Barron from the ECM recording com-
pany.
April 22 — 2:30 pm - Advanced Small Band
Ensemble - Ensemble department faculty
member John Pierce presents this ensemble
in performance. This student ensemble will
be performing jazz and Latin jazz, including
music composed by John Scofield, Paquito
D'Rivera, Wayne Shorter, Stevie Wonder, Pat
Metheny and David "Fathead" Newman.

Hendrix-Student ensemble performance led
by faculty member Kenwood Dennard.
April 22 — 7:30 pm - Jetro Dasilva - Faculty
member Jetro Dasilva presents his student
ensemble in performance.
April 25 - 4:00 pm — The Berklee Joni
Mitchell Ensemble — Faculty guitarist Abby
Aronson Zocher directs this ensemble playing
their own arrangements of Ms. Mitchell’s
music for rhythm sections, violin, cello, guitar
and vocals.
April 25 - 7:30 pm - Blazing Fingers — The
Berklee Country Music Ensemble under the
direction of faculty guitarist Mike Ihde, per-
forms top country hits as well as instrumen-
tals in classic country, western swing, and

rockabilly styles. An exciting and entertain-
ing evening of Hot Country and Blazing
Instrumentals performed by Berklee's best
Pickers and Singers.

Eastern Ensemble — Student ensemble per-
forming music from the Middle East under
the direction of faculty member Craig Mcrae.
April 26 — 2:30 pm — The Music of James
Brown Ensemble - Under the direction of fac-
ulty member Kenwood Dennard, this ensem-
ble features the groundbreaking and epoch-
making music of James Brown. This concert
will include student-generated arrangements
and improvisations on several of Mr. Brown's
most influential compositions.
April 26 — 4:00 pm - Latin Jazz Ensemble -
Student ensemble under the direction of fac-
ulty bassist Oscar Stagnaro performs Latin
jazz.
April 27 — 1:00 pm - Advanced Small Band
Ensemble - Post Bop and contemporary jazz
compositions by John Coltrane, Dave *
Liebman Mike Brecker and Freddie Hubbard
will be performed by this six piece ensemble
directed by Ed Tomassi.
April 27 — 2:30 pm - Brazilian Jazz - Faculty
member Fernando Brandao leads this student
ensemble performing jazz from Brazil includ-
ing compositions by Caetano Veloso, Milton
Nascimento and Brandao.
April 27 - 4:00 pm — Contemporary Fusion
Ensemble — Melodious fusion compositions
by faculty trumpeter Tiger Okoshi will be per-
formed by his student ensemble.
April 27 — 7:30 pm - Dennis Montgomery -
Student ensemble performs under the direc-
tion of faculty member Dennis Montgomery.
