David Friend Recital Hall Concerts
November 16 — Composition Department Faculty Concert - This
installment of their annual concert series will feature recent
chamber works by several members of the Berklee Composition
Department faculty.
November 21- Pierre Favre & Fredy Studer Percussion Duo
Pierre Favre’s and Fredy Studer personal musical relationship
exists since 1970. The musical relationship between Favre and
Studer is contrapuntal, and consists of two independent voices,
which complement each other and thus form a whole. Their music
is partly conceptualized and composed, yet leaves freedom from
the element of improvisation. Their “orchestral” performance
emerges from a rich range of sound colors, fashioned mainly with
metal, skins and various small percussion instruments.
December 11 - Performer Songwriter Showcase - The ten winners
from the recent competition will perform their songs in a variety of
styles including pop, rock, alternative and hip-hop, supported by
the Performer/Songwriter band and produced by faculty member
John Stevens.
