Bob Dylan

From his beginnings performing in Greenwich Village coffee shops in the

early 1960s, Bob Dylan has forged a career spanning five decades that

has solidified him as one of the most influential musicians of all time.
Born Robert Allen Zimmerman in 1947 in Duluth, Minnesota, around

the start of his career he changed his surname to Dylan in homage to

poet Dylan Thomas. Indeed, the prolific singer-songwriter is noted for his
poetic leanings.
