Jeff Ramsey

Jeff Ramsey has toured the world over and recorded with such artists as Lalah
Hathaway, Al Jarreau, Tina Arena, Patrice Rushen, and Randy Crawford. In more
recent years, he added Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Corinne

Bailey Rae, and Jill Scott, among others, to the roster of artists for whom he's sung
background vocals. In addition to his work as a professor in the Voice Department at
Berklee, Ramsey is a highly sought-after session vocalist for major artists such as Celine Dion, Whitney
Houston, Diana Ross, Dianne Reeves, and Barbra Streisand, as well placements in radio and television
commercials for Burger King, Levi's 501, Dryel, Mountain Dew, and Michelob. He has also done solo
work for many different projects, including Everybody on the Bus by famed Tower of Power bassist
Rocco Prestia, and Remember When and Better Days by James Day. Ramsey released his debut album,
My Best, in 2009, and is currently working on his next record.



Nedelka Prescod

Nedelka F. Prescod is a vocalist, arranger, songwriter, teacher, activist, and a believer.
Performing domestically and internationally across a variety of musical genres,
Prescod has shared the stage and/or recorded with such living legends as Kenny
Garrett, Danilo Pérez, Fred Hersch, AntiPop Consortium, and the Omar Thomas Large
Ensemble, among others. She has also performed background vocals for Alicia Keys,
Jonathan Nelson, Jason Nelson, and Dorothy Norwood. As an independent artist, Prescod has released
an album entitled Manifest, and more recently, the single "The Light." With a strong belief that artists
have the responsibility and power to bring awareness and positive change to their times, Prescod
thoroughly enjoys musical collaborations and creating uniquely crafted, socially conscious concerts to
share with the community. The mother of an awesome son and the daughter of proud Panamanians,
Prescod pursues independent studies in African Diaspora culture, history, and spirituality. She currently
serves as a private voice teacher and instructor at the New England Conservatory, where she leads various
R&B ensembles in the Contemporary Improvisation Department and the Gospel Ensemble in the Jazz
Studies Department. Nedelka is also a coach in the New England Conservatory's Voices of Freedom:
Tracing the African American Experience through Music and Poetry project, which was recently presented
at the Museum of African American History in Boston. Prescod is an associate professor in the Ensemble
Department at Berklee and a voice instructor in the Voice Department. As a passionate educator, she

is also director of Boston Trinity Academy's Contemporary Music Ensemble and is the visionary and
founder of the Goddess Vibe Project.



Karen Bell

Karen A. Bell B.M. ‘90, originally from South Carolina, is a graduate of Berklee and

a tenured administrator recently promoted to academic assistant to the dean of

the Professional Performance Division. Bell previously worked for 13 years in the
college’s Alumni Affairs Office as its director, then advancing to senior alumni officer
for Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In her current
position, she appreciates providing advice and insight to student performers excited about the next
steps of their journey. With more than 30 years in the music industry, Bell has performed as host and
lead vocalist for numerous events and top corporate bands in domestic and international locations. She
is owner and leader of the Karen Bell Band, which ranges in format from a duo to 10 pieces including
three singers and a three-piece horn section. Also an entrepreneur, Bell runs the Bell Affair, which offers
event production for companies, event management for artists, and educational programming on how
to maneuver throughout the music industry.
