July 15 - Mog - Five Week faculty member Bob Schlink, playing the Viotar, a
guitar/violin hybrid instrument of his own invention, presents original rock for
his five-piece group with compositions by Rob Schlink

July 16 - Just About Jazz/Welcome to Sachiko World - Pianist/composer E.
Selen Gulun leads her quintet performing original ECM/European style jazz. Then
pianist/composer Sachiko Yasui presents original Brazilian, Afro-Cuban and Latin
jazz for her quintet.

July 21 - Kyler/Dan Benedict - George Shepherd presents pop rock originals in
the style of Paula Cole and Sarah McLaughlin for his five-piece band. Then Dan
Benedict presents contemporary jazz.

July 22 - Boo Day Dee On - Original fusion harmonies and melodies with funk
grooves composed by faculty bassist Joe Santerre will be performed by his
quartet featuring faculty saxophonist Dino Govoni, keyboardist Ross Ramsay and
drummer Paul Quattrochi.

July 23 - Adriana Balic - Five Week Summer Performance Program faculty
member, vocalist and keyboardist , Adriana Balic presents pop-rock originals for
her seven piece group.

July 28 - The Back Bay Brass Jazz Orchestra - Big band jazz originals in swing,
Latin, and contemporary styles will be presented by faculty trombonist/com-
poser/arranger Ben Elkins conducting the 19 piece Back Bay Brass Jazz orches-
tra. Featuring arrangements and compositions by Ellington, Brookmeyer,
McConnell, Holman, Florence and faculty composers Richard Lowell and Ben
Elkins, the band will be joined by very special guest trombonist Jeff Hoyer of the
United States Air Force.

July 30 - Bobby Rodgers

August 3 - The Berklee Rainbow Band - Faculty composer/arranger/trombonist
Phil Wilson leads the Berklee Rainbow Band in an evening of jazz.

August 4- City Music/ SYSTEM- 5 Blow Out Concert

Hosted by J. Curtis Warner, Director of Education and Community Partnerships,
this musical extravaganza will feature Boston’s most talented inner city youth in
concert at the Berklee Performance Center. Showcasing students from a cross
section of Boston public high schools, this evening promises to be exciting for
all! Noteworthy will be the traditional awarding of full tuition SYSTEM-5
Continuing Scholarships to three deserving students who will have successfully
completed Berklee’s five-week summer performance program.
