Moksha — Faculty composer/ trumpeter Wayne Naus leads his small group
through a program of original music that combines improvisation and ;
composition.
Awareness I — Directed by Michael Lewis. In their first BPC concert Aware-
ness presents a program of funk and Jazz-tinged R & B tunes composed and
arrranged by members of the group.
The Louis Belson Student Ensemble — Faculty member Wes Hensel leads
the Louis Belson Ensemble through a program of contemporary big band
Jjazz.
Just For The Funk Of It — Faculty members Steve Olenick and Robert
Doezema present an evening of original funk music.
Histoire D'Une Vie — Composer Robert Gaudreau leads his large studio
orchestra in a program of original music.
Berklee Concert Band — Conducted by Peter Hazzard. In its annual spring
concert.
The Berklee Studio Orchestra — Directed by Donny Nolan. Utilizing the big
band format with additional reeds, percussion and strings, this new student
group presents its second Performance Center Concert.
Guitar Night V — Directed by William Leavitt. A program of various guitar
groups directed by the Chairman of the Guitar Department.
Spring Concert — Berklee Jazz And Concert Choirs — The annual Vocal
Department spring concert directed by Chairman Brian O’Connell and fac-
ulty member Stephen Prosser features a mix of traditional and jazz music.
Percussion Unlimited — Directed by Dean Anderson. This is the annual
presentation of the Berklee College of Music Percussion Ensemble featuring
the latest in contemporary percussion literature and techniques.
On A Different Note — Directed by Daryl Stogryn. Stogryn leads his 18-piece
band through a program that mixes swing, modern fusion and jazz rock.
Back In The Act — Andy Leonard, John Gilmore, and Bob Weinberger
- present their 22-piece band in a concert of music from broadway shows and
movie hits.
Takin’ Care of Business — 15 — Always one of the most exciting concerts of
the year. The Berklee Jazz/Rock Ensemble, directed by Bob Rose, returns
with its usual flair.
The Villamizar/Carvell Concert — Pianist Nicolas Villamizar and guitarist
Tom Carvell present a program which blends many styles of music with an
emphasis on jazz.
The Bradley Young All Star Jazz Barbeque — Directed by Bradley Young,
this features one of the outstanding jazz groups in the Berklee community.
My Portrait — Pianist Hiro Takada leads his small jazz group in a program
that mixes jazz standards and originals.
The Rising Tide — Composer/Saxophonist David Kreimer presents both his
small and large jazz ensembles in a program of diverse styles of music.
