presents this Latin Ensemble playing music from Ray Barreto, Nueva Manteca, K.
David Valentin, Oscar Hernandez and others.
December 6 — 4:00p.m. — Muy Caliente — Faculty bassist Oscar Stagnaro
presents this Latin Ensemble playing music Noro Morales, Tito Puente, Chucho
Valdez and others.
December 6 — 7:30p.m. — Music Of Miles Davis — Under the direction of faculty
trumpeter Ken Cervenka, this ensemble performs music of jazz icon Miles Davis
featuring work of the late 60’s and early 70’s as well as the post retirement
bands of the 80’s.
December 7 — 2:00p.m. — Berklee ContempoConsort — Faculty member Barbara c
Lafitte directs the contemporary fusion ensemble performing music by Ralph
Towner, Sy Johnson and Joel Harrison. Diverse instrumentation features oboist
Michael Sherman, cellist Rushad Eggleston with a rhythm section and Jim Briggs
on guitar and sitar.
December 7 — 4:00p.m. — Pat Metheny Ensemble — Faculty member Winston
Maccow presents this ensemble performing the music of famed guitarist Pat
Metheny.
December 7 — 7:30p.m. — The Music of Wayne Shorter — Faculty member Dave
Santoro leads this ensemble performing the music of the famed saxophonist and
composer.
December 10 — 2:00p.m. — Funk Ensemble — Student ensemble under the
direction of faculty member Angelamia Bachemin.
