Berklee Performance Center Concerts

November 8 — Contemporary Writing Production Department Concert —
Under the direction of George Hargan and Bob Doezema, the Contempo-
rary Writing and Production department present their faculty performing
original arrangements and compositions in a variety of styles including
contemporary funk, Latin, world Music and hard bop.

November 13 - Singers Night - Outstanding student vocalists represent-
ing all semester levels will perform in a variety of styles including jazz,
rock, R&B, country and Latin under the direction of Voice faculty member
Adrianna Balic. The singers will be backed by a faculty rhythm section.

November 19 — West African Music & Dance - A night of traditional
Ghanaian music from the Ewe people and Afro -pop presented by percus-
sion department faculty member Joe Galeota. Special guest groups the
Afro-Pop Ensemble under the direction of faculty member Bob Pilkington,
and Mirimbira.

November 29 — Singers’ Showcase — This semester’s show will be
featuring the music of Seal, Boyz Il Men,U2, Al Kooper, Jonatha Brooke,
Tony Bennett, and “The Wiz". Featured singers include Alison Bordlemay,
Gina Cuchetti, Claude Kelly, Jason Joseph, Chrissi Poland, Laura Thomas,
Jana Sadler, Nicole Hurst, Kojo Littles, Rashidra Scott, Tia Marie Talbert,
Dee Lavender, and Yvonne Williams.

December 3 — Gospel Ensemble

December 10 — Concert Choir — The Concert Choir, under the direction of
Voice department faculty member Anne Peckham, will perform
Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms with a student orchestra as well as
some additional choral works by Britten, Vecchi and Monteverdi.

December 11 — An Evening with the Berklee Rainbow Band - An evening
of big band music as the Rainbow Band, under the direction of Professor
Phil Wilson, prepares for its trip to Los Angeles where it will play at the
International Association of Jazz Educators conference in January.
Featured with Berklee’s top talents will be vocalists Alisa Miles and
Christine Fawson along with composer Nicolas Sorin.

December 12 — Berklee Concert Wind Ensemble

December 13 — Concert Jazz Orchestra
