SPRING 1989
IN LOVE —Faculty pianist Laszlo Gardony presents an evening
of original contemporary, acoustic jazz with famed musicians
John Lockwood, bass, and Bob Moses, drums.
ONE NIGHT ONLY— Jennifer Terry leads a seven-piece group in
a program of rock originals and cover tunes including a wide variety
of styles featuring faculty guitarist Bob Stanton and RCA recording
artist Michael Terry.
THE ROSETTA STONE/TRIO MUSIC—In the first half of this two-
for-one concert faculty bassist Bruno Raberg leads a six-piece band
in original contemporary jazz-fusion. In the second half, faculty bass-
ist Joe Santerre presents a trio performing original fusion music with
faculty drummer Alan Hall.
WOODWIND FACULTY CONCERT — Woodwind department fac-
ulty members George Garzone, Bob Bowlby and Fred DiChristoforo
present a concert of bebop, fusion and free-jazz styles performed by
department faculty.
THE BARBARA LONDON QUARTET—An evening of traditional
and contemporary jazz originals is presented by faculty flutist/pianist/
vocalist Barbara London and her quartet.
TRIO + ONE/SWEET NOTHINGS—Acoustic jazz performed
by quartet is presented by faculty clarinetist Sammy Epstein. In the
second half, faculty vibraphonist Victor Mendoza leads his group in
a performance of Latin jazz originals.
