Learn how to emulate drum sounds from the past with a
laptop, one to four microphones, and an interface. The first
half of the session will be dedicated to tuning and miking
techniques. The presenter will record small samples on a
drum set. The second half of the session will focus on how to
produce the samples.

This lunchtime session is designed to engage faculty with tips
and strategies on effectively adjudicating young musicians
in the Berklee High School Jazz Festival (HSJF) setting. The
presenters will focus on the art of adjudication through
critical listening, constructive criticism, vocabulary, and
technology. Everyone is welcome at this session, which is
recommended for all HSJF adjudicators. Please note that
faculty are not compensated for this session. Lunch will
be provided.
