QUARTET

In modern arranging today, we generally make use
of a four part chord in writing for the dance orch-

estra.

To the major chord, we add the sixth of the chord.

To the seventh chord, we add the miesing note, which
we omitted while doing our trio form. The following
chart shows the volcing of the seventh chord in

quartet form. The number denotes the degree of the
