from the ECM recording company.
April 28 — [7:30pm| — Contemporary Fusion
Ensemble - Melodious fusion compositions
by faculty trumpeter Tiger Okoshi will be
performed by his ensemble.

member saxophonist Joe Lovano presents this
ensemble in performance.

Ensemble department faculty member saxo-
phonist Joe Lovano presents this ensemble in
performance.
May | — [4:00pm] — The Afro-Pop Ensemble
- African Pop music and originals by the
ensemble will feature an exceptionally hard
grooving drum/percussion section under the
direction of faculty member Bob Pilkington.
May | — [7:30pm] — Find The Circle: Music of
Pat Metheny Ensemble — Under the direction
of faculty member Winston Maccow, this 10
piece ensemble plays jazz fusion composi-
tions by renowned guitarist and composer Pat
Metheny.
May 2 — [1:00pm] — Advanced Small Band
Ensemble - Straight ahead jazz will be
performed by a group under the direction of
faculty member Mark Whitfield.
May 2 — [2:30pm] — New Music Recital
- Straight ahead jazz will be performed by a
group under the direction of faculty member
Dave Samuels.

Jamaican musical icon Bob Marley.

Contemporary Vocal Ensembles - Faculty
member Jetro DaSilva presents his ensemble
with vocals in performance.
May 4 — [2:30pm] — Jazz Summit — Two jazz
ensembles under the direction of David Hol-
lender share this concert. The Music of Wes
Montgomery ensemble performs Montgom-
erty compositions and standards in a quartet
setting. Then another small jazz ensemble
performs music by Parker, Gillespie and
Golsen.
