THE BILLY PIERCE-JAMES WILLIAMS JAZZ ORCHESTRA -
Two of America's premier jazz musicians debut
their 18 piece jazz ensemble. Featuring an array
of faculty players like Andy McGhee, Greg
Hopkins, Tony Lada and Bill Thompson, this is a
"Do Not Miss'" event.

AN EVENING OF AFRO-PERUVIAN JAZZ WITH RICHIE
ZELLON AND FRIENDS -Student guitarist Richie
Zellon presents an exciting evening of Peruvian
jazz featuring the talents of vocalists Mili
Bermejo and Debi Grimsley and flutist Cecilia

Tenconi.

INNER URGE: JENNIFER HILL SEPTET - With an
emphasis on improvisation, this program will
feature contemporary jazz compositions that
reflect the styles of Charles Mingus and Wayne
Shorter.

THE MIKE METHENY QUINTET - Flugelhornist Mike
Metheny leads a mainstream quintet that will
showcase Dick Odgren on piano and Mitch Coodley
on guitar. The quintet's eclectic repertoire
features original compostitions by members of
the group, as well as jazz standards.

DOUBLE CONCERT: CHASE THE CLOUDS AWAY/LET'S
BREAK THE RULES - Vocalist Katherine McVicker
leads her group through a dynamic program of
jazz and contemporary compositions featuring
arrangements by Berklee students and faculty.
The evening will continue as composer Daniel
Indart and his group perform a variety of
original tunes in a commercial contemporary
pop/rock/jazz style.

PENTA RE1', JAZZ OF TODAY, THE MUSIC OF PURPE
LUDMARK, under the direction of Greg Badolato -
Saxophonist Greg Badolato of the Berklee faculty
presents a concert of contemporary jazz music
featuring the original compositions of Puppe
Ludmark, a young guitarist/composer from Sweden.
Stylistically, the music is lyrical and
harmonically innovative, providing a challenging
format for improvisation.
