Fab Dupont ‘94
As a writer, producer, and mix engineer, Dupont travels the world in pursuit of
what makes music great. He lives and works in New York City, but has also
worked in cities like Paris, Boston, Brussels, Stockholm, and London, just to name
a few. Over the years, he has mixed or produced tracks for an impressive list of
well-known artists such as Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, DJ Colette, Isaac Hayes,
Lucy Woodward, Shakira, Santigold, Mark Ronson, Les Nubians, Musiqg Soulchild,
Toots and the Maytals, Bon Jovi, Marc Anthony, Sean Lennon, John Travolta, Rick
Margitza, MAM, Kirk Whalum, Babyface, Brazilian Girls, Nat King Cole, and
Bebel Gilberto. Dupont’s work also supports many extremely talented up-and-
coming artists.
As a result of his industry expertise and skill, Dupont has had the good grace of receiving recognition
from the recording academy three times so far. In 2004, Dupont received a Grammy Award for the Toots
and the Maytals’s album Duets, and in 2011 he earned two Grammy nominations for the Kirk Whalum
album Everything, featuring Musiq Soulchild. He has also had the great pleasure to have produced and
mixed the four-time SAMA-nominated (South African Music Awards) album Radio Africa for
Freshlyground, a project that was a double SAMA winner.
Dupont owns Flux Studios, a multiroom recording facility, in New York’s East Village and the music
recording website pureMlIx.net, which provides content for advanced audio tutorials.
