August 4 Jim Peterson and Groove
Junkies — Faculty guitarist Jim Peterson
presents his band Groove Junkies per-
forming funk originals and compositions
fo James Brown and Donald Fagan.
August 7 [1:00pm] Hot Summer
Country - The Berklee Country Music
" Ensemble under the direction of
faculty guitarist Mike Ihde, performs
top country hits as well as instrumen-
tals in classic country, western swing,
and rockabilly styles. An exciting and
entertaining evening of Hot Country
and Blazing Instrumentals performed
by Berklee’s best Pickers and Singers.
3 powerful female singers and a kickin’
band with 2 guitars, pedal steel, fiddle,
piano, bass and drums. It may be hot
outside, but it’ll be even hotter inside at
this show!
[4:00 pm] Carolyn’s Monday Band
- Faculty member Carolyn Wilkins pres-
ents her level four ensemble performing
a mixture of original compositions, jazz,
R&B, ad funk tunes performed by four
vocalists and a rhythm section.
|7:30pm] Advanced Small Band Under
the direction of Ron Mahdi.
August 8 [1:00pm] Small Band Ensem-
ble Under the direction of Ron Mahdi.
[4:00 pm] The Music of the Meters
- The Music of the renowned New
Orleans funk band will be performed
by this ensemble under the direction of
faculty member Bob Tamagni.

[7:30pm] Brazilian Jazz — Faculty mem-
ber Fernando Brandao leads this student
ensemble performing jazz from Brazil
including compositions by Caetano Ve-
loso, Milton Nascimento and Brandao.
August 9 The Orchestral Club presents
The College Repertory Orchestra - The
Orchestral Club presents the College
Repertory Orchestra performing an
evening of chamber music, ranging from
Mozart to world premieres of student
composers and student film scores.
The CRO is a completely student-run
orchestra, and that includes the conduc-
tors, composers, and management. The
CRO this summer is guest-conducted
by Nadeem Majdalany, a film scoring
student who has been guest conductor of
the Athens Symphony Orchestra.
The rest of the management group con-
sists of Berklee students Brian Padavic,
Composer in Residence; Oran Eldor,
Principal Conductor; Felipe Santos,
Librarian; Freddie Smith, Orchestral
Manager, and Kyung Min, Artistic
Director.

Ensemble — Student ensemble directed
by Terri Lyne Carrington and Rick
DiMuzio.
