February 11 - Tomo Fujita & Blue Funk - Original instrumentals combin- ¥
ing funk, blues, and acid jazz for quartet is presented by Guitar Depart-

ment faculty member Tomo Fujita with Piano Department faculty Dave

Limina, organ, Percussion department faculty member Larry Finn, drums b
and Sean Hurley, bass.

February 17 - Latin-Jazz Genesis - Lead by faculty saxophonist Dan
Moretti, this sextet will perform music from the Elvin Jones Genesis ,
album as well as original material with Berklee faculty members Oscar -

Stagnaro, bass; John Ramsay, drums; Mike Ringquist; percussion; Daniel
Ian Smith and John Griener, tenor. "3

February 18 - Solo Piano - Faculty member Geoffrey Gee presents a
concert of improvised solo piano music. Gee’s music blends classical o
harmony and technique with impressionist textures and the spontaneity

of contemporary jazz. Musical influences can be heard ranging from *
Debussey and Ravel to Keith Jarrett and Lyle Mays.

February 22 - Stambandet - The Scandinavian Vocal Ensemble -Under -

the direction of faculty member Allen LeVines the 15 voice vocal en- -

semble Stambandet performs traditional songs from Iceland, Norway and N

Sweden featuring six and seven-part harmonies and including a wide
_ range of a cappella folk traditions.

February 24 - Music for Piano, Four Hands - Composition department

faculty member Marti Epstein presents music from the 18th, 19th, and “ %
20th centuries written specifically for piano duet. Compositions by JC

Bach, Franz Schubert, Antonin Dvorak, Samuel Barber and Francis

Poulenc will be performed by Marti Epstein and Jennifer Elowsky, Instruc- )
tor, Boston College.

February 25 - The Sal DiFusco Project - Presented by guitar department ¥

faculty member Sal DiFusco, this concert will contain elements of jazz,
rock, funk and fusion and feature compositions by Sal DiFusco, Wayne

Berklee _
