2 o ©w o .o g Berklee Performance Center Concerts May 1 - Shout!-The Reverence Gospel Ensemble & Overjoyed- An evening of contemporary and traditional gospel music performed by Berklee’s Reverence Gospel Ensemble will feature compositions by Donald Lawrence, Johnathan Hall, Jules Bartholomew, David Frazier and ensemble director faculty member Dennis Montgomery II1. Berklee’s new small gospel ensemble, Overjoyed, will also perform. May 2 - Viento De Sal /Johnny Richard’s Cuban Fire - Student Composer /arranger Pedro Barboza presents original contemporary Venezuelan music for large en- semble. Then The Back Bay Brass Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of faculty member Ben Elkins, presents Cuban Fire, a seven movement suite for jazz orchestra composed and arranged by Johnny Richards and origi- nally recorded by the Stan Kenton Orchestra.
