Berklee Performance Center Concerts July 25 - Polyester - Faculty guitarist Bobby Rodgers presents his eight-piece band performing Disco and Funk originals and compositions by Earth Wind & Fire, K.C. & The Sunshine Boys and others. July 26 - Breakout - Contemporary acoustic jazz, originals and orignal arrangements of standards by faculty pianist Laszlo Gardony will be performed by Gardony and faculty percussionist Jamey Haddad. July 27 - Night of the Living Shred - Faculty guitarist Joe Stump and his trio will perform selections from his speed metal recordings Night of the Living Shred and Guitar Dominance. August 1 - Midsummer Heat - Mainstream jazz originals will be performed by pianist Joe Mulholland and his sextet including faculty member Rick Considine, drums. August 2 - Summer Funk - Faculty guitarist Tomo Fujita leads his quartet in a concert of blues and funk originals and songs by Albert Collins and the Meters. Faculty members Dave Limina, keyboards and Larry Finn, drums are joined by Berklee alumnus Mike Rivard on bass. August 3 - Vocal Summit - Voice department faculty member Bob Stoloff leads the 6 voice Vocal Summit in a concert of spontaneous vocal improvisation and original works by B. Stoloff and other composers including Miles Davis and John Coltrane. August 7 - The Concert Choir - Under the direction of Voice Department faculty member Anne Peckham, the Concert Choir Chamber Singers will perform a concert of motets, madrigals, chansons and ayres featuring the music of Thomas Marley, Orlando di Lasso, Oranzio Vecchi, Henry Purcell and J.S. Bach. August 8 - Le Hot Club de Berklee - Faculty trombonist/composer/arranger Phil Wilson leads the Rainbow Band in an evening of original jazz. August 9 - 5 Week Blow-Out Concert - The Five Week Summer Performance Program winds up with this concert featuring some of the program’s best ensembles ranging from small groups to big band and the five-week choir. Musical styles will include rock, jazz and fusion. August 10 - The Back Bay Brass Jazz Orchestra - Big band jazz originals in swing, Latin, and contemporary styles will be presented by faculty trombonist/composer/ arranger Ben Elkins.
