Berklee Performance Center Concerts Spring ‘85 March 25 Double Concert— ANO-NE/LATE NIGHT WITH LARRY FINN — Senior flutist Anders Bostrom opens this double concert with a sextet playing original Latin-jazz compositions. The second half will feature drummer Larry Finn in a program of funk and fusion music with special guest faculty saxophonist Herman Johnson. March 26 SPARKS LIVE FEATURING CYRUS CHESTNUT — An evening of original jazz and funk music in big band and small group settings is presented by saxophonist Jeff Sparks and pianist Cyrus Chestnut. March 27 Double Concert — THE BRAD SMITH GROUP/ORIENTAL POWER Il — In the first half of this two-for-one concert pianist Brad Smith leads a quintet in a program of acoustic jazz with special guest faculty saxophonist Gordon Brisker. In the second half pianist Aminoto Kosin presents a program of original pop, funk and fusion music for a large ensembile. March 28 ULANOWSKY'S BLUES REUNION — Faculty pianist/composer/arranger Alex Ulanowsky presents an evening of traditional and contemporary jazz in a variety of settings featuring the composing/arranging talents of Barrie Nettles, Ted Pease and Larry Monroe. Special guests will include vocalist Ruthie Ristich, saxophonist Larry Monroe and Greg Badolato and trumpeter Jeff Stout. April1 Double Concert —AS | FEEL/JUST LOOKING AT THE SKY — Bassist Yoshihiko Suwa opens this double concert with a program of straight ahead jazz for quintet. Guitarist Kazuhiko Michishita concludes this evening's program with a program of original Latin-jazz fusion with special guest trumpeter Tiger Okoshi.
