Berklee Performance Center Concerts . March 5- Women’s Music Network — The Women Musicians Network Concert is produced by students Ayla Davila and Kelli Scarr with advisors Lucy Holstedt, Maggi Scott, and Jane Stachowiak. This show features twelve acts in diverse musical styles with compositions, arrangements, and performances by female Berklee students. The fourth annual BPC concert kicks off March celebrations of Women'’s History Month at Berklee and is sponsored by the College Diversity Committee. March 6 — Russell Ferrante As part of Piano Week activities, renowned pianist Russell Ferrante (of Yellowjackets fame) performs March 7- Piano Department Student Concert — Student pianists Philip- pine Duchateau, Nial Djuliarso, Albert Sanz and Hiromi Uehara lead a variety of groups in performance as part of Piano Week activities. Ll March 8- Piano Department Faculty Concert featuring Laszlo Gardony = Trio - Faculty members Laszlo Gardony, piano, Jamey Haddad, drums, percussion and John Lockwood, bass will play selections from Mr. Gardony’s new recxording Behind Open Doors as well as other originals and standards. March 12- Fenway Brass Art Orchestra/The Journey — Daniela Schachter presents modern jazz and fusion originals for her 10- piece band and quintet, conducted by Professor Phil Wilson. Then Susumu Watanabe presents his 20 piece jazz big band performing straight ahead jazz in original arrangements. - March 14- Contemporary Writing Production - The Contemporary Writing ¢ and Production Department presents the 7th annual concert featuring the writing of Majors in Contemporary Writing and Production. A variety of pop/rock, fusion, jazz, and Latin compositions and arrangements written and conducted by CWP Majors will be performed by many of Berklee’s talented student instrumentalists and vocalists. March 15 Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble - The Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble, under the direction of faculty vocalist Robin Ginenthal, performs twentieth 2 - century works inspired by folk music from around the word including Berio and Ravel's “Folk Songs” Granados “Tonadillas” and Carter’'s “Pastoral.” The ensemble includes the following musicians: Robin Ginenthal soprano, David Callahan conductor, Lisa De Siro piano, Masami Tomihasa piano, Takumi Ozawa violin, Tokuhiro Doi clarinet, Kenji Kikuchi flute, Irina Chirkova cello, David Schreiber viola, Emily Halpern Lewis harp, Vessela Stoyanova percussion, Assen Stoyanov percussion and Weiley Lee piano.
