October 6 The Jane Miller Group/Abigail Aronson Quartet - The Jane
Miller group will play contemporary jazz instrumentals composed and
arranged by faculty guitarist Jane Miller and featuring faculty pianist Joe
Mulholland, bassist Jeff Song and drummer Stever Langone.

Then faculty guitarist Abigail Aronson presents jazz fusion originals for her
quartet with pianist Bevan Manson, faculty member Norman Zocher, bass
and Brook Sofferman, drums.

October 7 - SambaLypso - Faculty members vocalist Luciana Souza and
bassist/percussionist Ron Reid present an evening of Brazilian, Afro-Cuban
and Caribbean music for rhythm section, multiple percussion, steeldrums,
flute and vocals.

October 14 - Harmonic Harvest - The Harmony department faculty, under
the direction of Joe Mulholland Barbara London, will present a concert of
original compositions and arrangements in diverse styles, instrumentation
and feel including jazz, Latin, ballads and instrumentals. Composers/
arrangers/performers include Darrell Katz, Mike Scott, Steve Dale, Joe
Mulholland, Kris Adams, Randy Felts, Steve Wark, Rick Kress, Michael
Wartofsky, Eduardo Tancredi, Bruce Katz, Dan Smith anad Barbara London
with special guests Larry Baione, Tony Germaine and Dave Clark.

October 15 - The Beauty of Giving/Thou Must Swing - Pianist Cho Yoon
Seung presents his trio in an evening of contemporary jazz originals featur-
ing faculty drummer Casey Scheuerell. Then pianist Milan Milanovic leads his
quartet in contemporary jazz tunes by John Coltrane, Joe Henderson,
Wynton Marsalis, and Kenny Garrett.

October 16 - Jay McNeely

October 21 - YB4 & Friends/Nicolas Meier - Composer/arranger/saxo-
phonist Yann Bettremieux presents original compositions on the borders of
jazz and funk combining sophisticated melody and harmonic progressions
with heavy grooves and arranged for five horns.

October 22 - Bass Department Faculty Concert-The Firm of Morris,
Stinnett, Hollender, & Santerre

October 23 - Bjgrn Myrholt Quartet/This Time - Drummer Bjgrn Myrholt
leads his quartet in an evening of acoustic jazz with elements from world
music and featuring faculty bassist Josh Davis. Then bassist David Lockeretz
presents folk, pop, jazz and film music performed by his quintet.
