Berklee Performance Center Concerts February 28- Write Of Spring - Under the direction of Jackson Schultz and Ken Pullig, this years’ Write of Spring concert continues the tradition of presenting new faculty music from the jazz composition department. Faculty composers Jackson Schultz, Jeff Friedman, Richard Lowell and Bill Scism will be featured as well as guest composer, internationally acclaimed pianist composer/arranger Michael Abene. The music will be performed by an all-faculty band with varied instrumentation. March 1 - Scotty Johnson & Joe Musella - Classic rock performances by guitar department faculty members Scotty Johnson and Joe Musella. March 2 — Guitar Night Student Showcase - Berklee guitar students Eduardo Faiella, Sebasitan Muller, Mike Welch lead their groups perfomring in a variety of styles under the direction of faculty members Jim Kelly and Mike Williams. March 5- Women’s Music Network — The Women Musicians Network Concert is produced by students Ayla Davila and Kelli Scarr with advisors Lucy Holstedt, Maggi Scott, and Jane Stachowiak. This show features twelve acts in diverse musical styles with compositions, arrangements, and performances by female Berklee students. The fourth annual BPC concert kicks off March celebrations of Women's History Month at Berklee and is sponsored by the College Diversity Committee. March 6 — Russell Ferrante As part of Piano Week activities, renowned pianist Russell Ferrante (of Yellowjackets fame) performs March 7- Piano Department Student Concert — Student pianists lead a variety of groups in performance as part of Piano Week activities. March 8- Piano Department Faculty Concert featuring Laszlo Gardony Trio March 12- Fenway Brass Art Orchestra/The Journey — Daniela Schachter presents modern jazz and fusion originals for her 10- piece band and quintet, conducted by Professor Phil Wilson.
