2 w w o A 5 Berklee Performance Center Concerts e Srs in March 13 Rock Arranging Live The annual Rock Arranging Live concert highlights the best music written by the students interested in writing and performing in the Rock/Pop idiom. The concert will present original compositions as well as new arrangements of standard rock/pop repertoire, featuring some of the college’s best vocalists. Although most of the perofrmance will be live, the ensemble will perform along with some se- quences and pre-recorded materials. This years show will present a special guest, faculty guitarist Craig Hlady and some of his new rock/pop compositions. March 15 Under New Managements The Commercial Ar- ranging Department faculty under the direction of newly appointed Chair, Jay Kennedy, presents a concert of their compositions and arrangements. The contemporary pop/rock, Latin and avant-garde jazz selections will feature performances by Berklee faculty members and students including the Con- temporary Pop Vocal Ensemble. March 16 Magic Touch/Suite Kulaishi - Drummer Marcello Contento opens this concert with his jazz-Latin septet, includ- ing faculty trumpeter Ken Cervenka, perform music by Jimmy Heath, Paquito D'Rivera, Dave Brubeck and Donald Brown. In the second half composer/arranger Masako Hamamura pre- sents original music for a large jazz ensemble. The Performance Center at Berklee College of Music is a Ticketmaster outlet.
